Uruguay XXI was an active participant in the mission carried out by the Ministry of Tourism for the promotion of investments in Uruguay, which took place in the first half of September 2009 in Miami and New York.
This mission was composed also of the Ministry of Economy, the Municipality of Maldonado (where world-class resort Punta del Este is located), and representatives of the tourism and real estate industries. Uruguay XXI, jointly with the Unit in Support of the Private Sector of the Ministry of Economy, made a presentation on investment opportunities in Uruguay to American Society /Council of the Americas. Uruguay XXI also conducted a series of meetings with investors, universities, chambers of commerce, business parks and the media, as well as participating in tourism promotion events.
