1927 - The year when the legacy of Don Santos Etcheverry started. He came to Uruguay from a small French-basque village called Hasparren and founded Castillo Viejo Winery.

Today the third and fourth generation of the family keeps following the traditions and dedicate themselves to the production of high-quality wines from its own vineyards.
