From Hand Sketch to BIM Residential Design
A single-family residence in California, developed entirely from hand sketches with no digital documentation from the design team. SHAPE was brought in to bridge the gap between a hand-sketch-driven design process and a professional BIM workflow. We established a clean, structured BIM standard that allowed the design team to focus entirely on translating the architect's sketches into the model accurately. Interior design intent for the kitchen and bathrooms was also developed from hand sketches and integrated directly into the BIM documentation. Leveraging our AI-powered automation tools, we produced the full schematic design set efficiently and advanced to construction drawings upon client approval. The project closed with a set of photorealistic renderings for marketing purposes.
FEATURED PROJECT
Full-Scope Commercial Office Transformation
A full-floor commercial office in the northern U.S., where SHAPE led the entire project lifecycle, from Scan to BIM to a complete marketing package. The project began with a 3D reality capture scan, from which we developed a full BIM model. Schematic design followed, with client approval secured before advancing to the next phase. Common areas were strategically redesigned to maximize occupancy and revenue potential. Construction documentation was developed to full detail, enabling material takeoffs and permit submission. The project closed with a professional marketing package including architectural plans and photorealistic renderings.
