ABOUT US
Uruware is a technology company founded in 2007, specialized in digital solutions for tax management and electronic information exchange, with operations in Uruguay, Paraguay, and the Dominican Republic. More than 25,000 companies, from large corporations to sole proprietorships, use our systems to optimize their administrative and tax processes.
We were the first company to issue an electronic tax invoice (CFE) in Uruguay and also participated in the electronic invoicing pilot program in the Dominican Republic, building a strong track record of innovation and leadership in the region.

Tienda Inglesa: First Electronic Tax Invoice Issued in Uruguay
Tienda Inglesa, one of Uruguay’s leading supermarket chains, trusted Uruware to implement its electronic invoicing system as part of the pilot program launched by the Uruguayan Tax Authority (DGI) for large taxpayers in 2011. Together with Tienda Inglesa, we carried out the first issuance of an Electronic Tax Invoice (CFE) in Uruguay, marking a milestone in the country’s tax digital transformation. This project required high standards of availability, security, and integration with complex corporate systems. Tienda Inglesa has been a Uruware client for more than 15 years, maintaining a strong and successful partnership. Today, our solutions manage millions of electronic documents across all of its branches nationwide, ensuring operational stability, scalability, and continuous regulatory compliance.

Grupo SID: Electronic Invoicing Implementation in the Dominican Republic
Grupo SID, one of the leading business groups in the Dominican Republic, chose Uruware as its technology provider to support its incorporation into the electronic invoicing pilot program promoted by the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) for large taxpayers. Uruguay’s experience, recognized for having one of the oldest and most mature electronic invoicing systems in Latin America, was a key differentiator in this project. Uruware, a pioneer in the implementation of electronic invoicing in Uruguay, contributed its expertise and track record to ensure a secure and efficient transition. For more than 7 years, companies within the group such as Mercasid, Induveca, and Induspalma have relied on our solutions to manage their electronic documents and tax processes. The project stands out for its scalability, integration with corporate systems, and ability to operate in high-demand, high-transaction-volume environments.
