Workshop for illustrators: how to promote your work and negotiate copyright

Uruguay XXI invites professionals from the illustration sector to participate in a 2-day workshop where tools for the development of a professional portfolio will be provided, as well as copyright issues and general information on the publishing sector.
The workshop will be led by Adrián Puentes, founder and partner of Agencia Puentes, a literary agency that represents Latin American storytellers and illustrators, such as Mario Bellatin, Margo Glantz, María José Viera-Gallo, Alberto Montt, Paloma Valdivia, Diego Bianki and Catalina Bu. As an agent, he regularly participates in the book fairs of Frankfurt, London, Bologna, Guadalajara, Angoulême and Buenos Aires, among others . In addition, he teaches in the Master's Degree in Publishing at the Diego Portales University in Santiago, in the Communications Faculty of the Catholic University and in the Illustration Diploma of the University of Chile. His agency also provides editorial services for private and public organizations, as well as consulting services on digital publishing strategy and copyright. Among its clients are ENAP, FAO and the Universidad Católica. Adrián Puentes has a master's degree in editorial management of digital and print media from New York University and is a journalist from the Universidad Católica de Chile.
