First Mercosur–European Union Business Forum

Uruguay XXI will participate in and support the First Mercosur–European Union Business Forum, to be held on December 2, 2026, in Punta del Este, under the theme “From the Agreement to Business, Trade, and Investment.”

The event will bring together institutional and business leaders from both regions to strengthen dialogue, cooperation, and business opportunities within the framework of the Global Gateway. The agenda will include sector-specific panels, B2B business meetings, and networking opportunities, all aimed at capitalizing on the opportunities created by the provisional implementation of the agreement.

The forum is co-organized by the Government of Uruguay, which currently holds the Pro Tempore Presidency of Mercosur, and the European Union, with support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, CAF—the development bank for Latin America and the Caribbean—the European Investment Bank (EIB), and Uruguay XXI.

The event will precede the first European Union–Mercosur Council meeting on the Interim Trade Agreement and the 69th Summit of Heads of State of Mercosur and Associated States, scheduled for December 3 and 4, respectively, in Montevideo.
