Uruguay XXI’s EFTA Report 2026 provides an overview of the European Free Trade Association, made up of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, and of its economic ties with Uruguay. It covers general data on the bloc, its trade in goods and services with the world, and the evolution of its trade with Uruguay between 2015 and 2025, including the main products exported and imported. It also examines the presence of EFTA-origin investment in the country, the main contents of the EFTA-Mercosur Free Trade Agreement signed in 2025, including the tariff-rate quotas with the greatest potential for Uruguay, and the bilateral agreements currently in force.
