Uruguay is strengthening its international presence in the technology sector through its participation in eMerge Americas 2026, one of the most significant events in the continent’s digital ecosystem. The event, taking place April 22–24 in Miami, brings together more than 20,000 participants from 60 countries, including corporations, investment funds, startups, government agencies, and academic institutions.

The initiative is led by Uruguay XXI, with support from the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI), as part of a strategic effort to strengthen the international integration of Uruguayan technology companies. In this context, Miami is establishing itself as a key hub within the United States and a gateway for Latin America to global markets.

The national delegation is composed of companies with diverse backgrounds, reflecting the maturity and specialization of Uruguay’s technology ecosystem. From software and digital solutions developers to firms focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, the delegation covers multiple high-value-added segments.

The delegation also includes companies such as Kreitech, with expertise in software development and immersive technologies; Unicorp Systems, which applies operational intelligence and automation to improve business efficiency; and Datasec, with nearly four decades of experience in cybersecurity and risk management.

The group is rounded out by companies such as Applica Corp, specializing in end-to-end digital solutions; Xenio, focused on automation and integrations with generative artificial intelligence; Markenetics, which combines marketing and technology to optimize business results; Kadabra IT, with expertise in large-scale digital platforms; and Delbueno Studio, focused on developing experiences based on advanced artificial intelligence.

Participation in eMerge Americas is part of a national strategy aimed at positioning Uruguay as a regional hub for innovation and technology.

At the same time, Uruguay XXI is participating in the VC Latam Summit 2026, with the goal of presenting the country as a dynamic and attractive destination for venture capital funds. The event, now in its sixth edition, seeks to promote Latin America—along with its 13 partners: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Central America, the Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela—as an attractive destination for venture capital investment.

Organized by venture capital and private equity associations in the region—including ARCAP, ABVCAP, BOCAP, CAPCA, ACVC, COLCAPITAL, ECUACAP, AMEXCAP, PARCAPY, PECAP, VENECAP, and URUCAP—the event will bring together the most relevant players in the ecosystems of Latin America and Miami, including General Partners (GPs) and Limited Partners (LPs).

Among Uruguay’s competitive advantages is its innovation support ecosystem, which includes more than 500 information technology companies and regional leadership in per capita exports in the sector.

With a strategy based on talent, stability, and technological capabilities, Uruguay is committed to strengthening commercial ties, generating new business opportunities, and attracting investment in an increasingly competitive global environment. Its participation in eMerge Americas and the VC Latam Summit reaffirms the country’s commitment to developing an economy based on knowledge and innovation.
