Uruguay.uy is the country’s new gateway to the digital world. It is a web portal that presents the best of Uruguay to the world in one place.

This digital platform was developed as part of a collaborative process involving the Presidency of the Republic, the Agency for Electronic Government and the Information and Knowledge Society (Agesic), the investment, export, and country image promotion agency, Uruguay XXI, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining, and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI), among others.

This entry to Uruguay in the digital world offers a simple and modern structure with a general presentation of the country and four verticals by area of interest for any foreigner interested in visiting, investing, exporting, or living in Uruguay.

During the presentation of this site at the Presidency of the Republic, the executive director of Uruguay XXI, Sebastián Risso, highlighted that it is “a fundamental tool for the promotion of the country.” Diego Silva, an advisor to the Presidency, creator of the Uruguay country brand, and creator of this initiative, pointed out that creating “a living product that intends to transcend governments” was achieved.

“It is a tool for positioning the country that will also allow us to know the audiences interested in Uruguay. It is an overview of the country for all those interested in investing, living, visiting, or trading with Uruguay, where they can learn about our customs, landscapes, productive country, and our achievements at a global level”, he added.

The novelty for users will be to find on the same site, in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, the best of Uruguay synthesized in a selection of texts, photos and thematic videos, rankings, international news about Uruguay, and links to pages that provide in-depth information.
