Uruguay is participating in AgroActiva 2026, one of the region’s largest exhibitions of technology and innovation in agriculture, taking place June 3–6 in Armstrong, Santa Fe Province, Argentina.
The national delegation is organized by the Uruguayan Chamber of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CUFMA), with support from Uruguay XXI and the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining (MIEM), and will bring together six Uruguayan companies that manufacture agricultural machinery and equipment. Representing Uruguay XXI will be the project manager of the Competitive Intelligence Department, Claudia Peisino, who will accompany the Uruguayan delegation throughout its itinerary.
Also participating will be the companies Algeris (Young, Río Negro), Mary (Santa Catalina, Soriano), MF Metalúrgica (Miguelete, Colonia), IBG Maquinaria Agrícola (Rocha), Dilogic (Rocha), and El Corral Agrometalúrgica (Florida), which will exhibit equipment developed and manufactured in Uruguay.
This participation will showcase the technological capabilities of the national industry, generate business contacts, and strengthen ties with stakeholders in the Argentine and regional agro-industrial ecosystem.
The 2026 edition follows Uruguay’s first institutional participation in AgroActiva, which took place in 2025 and yielded encouraging results for the participating companies. One standout example was MF Metalúrgica, whose hydraulic post driver sparked interest among Argentine producers and companies, generating business opportunities that opened the door to the first export of technology developed by the firm.
The Uruguayan agricultural machinery industry has a long history and a strong presence in the country’s interior. It currently manufactures more than 400 implements for activities such as agriculture, livestock, dairy, forestry, and horticulture, and is known for developing solutions tailored to producers’ needs, integrating innovation, quality, and specialized technical service.
In addition to supplying the local market, the sector has consolidated its presence in international markets. In the first months of 2026, agricultural machinery exports reached US$470,000, with Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina as the main destinations, reflecting the export potential of an industry that continues to expand its regional reach.
Participation in AgroActiva represents a strategic opportunity to position Uruguay’s agricultural machinery industry in regional markets and continue strengthening the sector’s internationalization.
