BODEGA CERRO CHAPEU

BODEGA CERRO CHAPEU

Bodega Cerro Chapeu crafts minimal intervention wines in Rivera. Led by its 10th family generation, it features a sustainably managed continental vineyard planted 50 years ago.

ABOUT US

Bodega Cerro Chapeu is a continental family project in Rivera focused on sustainability and minimal intervention. Its activity is divided into three pillars:

Integrated viticulture: Management of 50-year-old vineyards in sandy soils, without insecticides or artificial irrigation. It integrates sheep for pasture control and beehives to protect the microbiota.

Gravity winemaking: Underground winery designed to eliminate mechanical pumping. It uses native yeasts, minimal additives, and a high percentage of renewable energy.

Wine tourism & conservation: Guided tours and cultural exchanges centered on "sobremesa" with local cuisine. Funds from its Folklore line are allocated to protecting native wildlife.
