Uruguay received 3rd edition of the America Business Forum

The 3rd edition of the America Business Forum (ABF) gathered over 3000 policy and business leaders of the main companies in Latin America. This regional business forum was hosted in Punta del Este, Uruguay, the premier seaside resort in South America, where an amazing natural scenery and high quality infrastructure and services fuse in perfect harmony.

Throughout the day, a series of talks were held under the motto "One of a Kind: The Journey of the Trailblazers," in which renowned personalities shared their life stories: Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, George Gordon (UBER), Gonzalo Muñoz (WEF), Isela Costantini (GST Grupo ST), Carlitos Páez and Gustavo Zerbino (Andes Survivors), Jorge Lanata, Fernando Espuelas, and Guillermo Francella. 

The participation of Uruguay XXI with a national pavilion was considered strategic, since it positioned Uruguay as a regional business hub for potential investors and foreign companies. This “Uruguay Space” operated as a place where investment advisors and the Uruguay XXI team publicized the opportunities and facilities for business development offered by the country, including business security, location advantages, incentives, talent and quality of life.

Antonio Carámbula, the CEO of Uruguay XXI, together with the interim Mayor of Maldonado Jesús Bentancur and the President of America Business Forum, Ignacio González, gave welcome remarks at the forum by presenting the country highlights. Among the advantages that stand out in the country, Carámbula mentioned legal certainty, political, social and economic stability, and devoted special importance to advances in "infrastructure associated with technologies and Uruguay as a country that empowers the digitalization.
