TECHNOBEEF
TechnoBeef digitizes beef quality through objective carcass analysis, empowering premium brands, export programs, and trust in high-value markets.
TechnoBeef is a Uruguayan company specializing in technology for the objective evaluation of beef quality, founded by Dr. Gessy Druillet, a regional reference with more than 18 years of experience. We represent MIJ Labo’s Japanese technology in Latin America, powered by artificial intelligence to measure key quality attributes from the ribeye area (AOB) image of each carcass.
We work with slaughter plants and their premium beef programs, export brands, and companies that outsource processing. Our technology objectively measures traits such as marbling and AOB, directly linked to retail cut yield (R&L), turning production variability into commercial value, certification, and differentiation in high-value markets.
TechnoBeef’s purpose is to drive transformation in the beef industry by enabling data-based decision-making, process optimization, and product standardization that build trust and credibility. Our work is anchored in quality management, value creation and sustainability. We are proud ambassadors of Uruguay’s Country Brand.

FEATURED PROJECT
INGLEBY FARMS
ngleby Farms, a global producer operating in Uruguay, uses MIJ Labo technology to objectively measure the quality of the carcasses processed under contract, strengthening its data-driven strategy for premium Grass Fed beef. The core focus is a key brand attribute: marbling developed on pasture, supported by more than 20 years of selection of Scottish genetics adapted to Grass Fed systems. Industrial-level carcass evaluation enables the creation of a reliable database that delivers genetic validation, commercial consistency, traceability and solid arguments for high-value markets. By measuring traits such as marbling score, ribeye area and backfat, Ingleby can make strategic production decisions and provide verifiable results to international clients. Including different categories —even cull cows— allows the company to assess the marbling potential of the breeding herd and the real level of its genetic base, aligning genetics, management and brand positioning in a premium Grass Fed program.
FEATURED PROJECT
CARNES VIREYES
Carnes Virreyes, together with TechnoBeef, developed a quality program focused on producing high-marbling beef for the United States and European markets. The incorporation of objective carcass evaluation enabled the creation of a reliable database to classify and select partner producers based on real performance, optimize slaughter decisions, and align production with premium market requirements. Systematic analysis of attributes such as marbling, ribeye area and yield helped identify variability, correct deviations, and guide genetics, management and feeding toward a differentiated product: high-marbling beef that is standardized and consistent. The project strengthened the entire value chain, shifting from intuitive decisions to data-driven decisions, improving industrial efficiency and building a reliable, certifiable and competitive offering. The result: a brand focused on real quality and value creation, reinforcing customer trust.
