Uruguay invites you to participate in its stand at Expo Osaka on Human Rights Day, a day of reflection and commemoration in the country.
This day, celebrated on May 20 in memory of the victims of the military dictatorship that took place between 1973 and 1985, is an expression of repudiation of human rights violations and is recognized as an expression of democracy.
During the activity, documentaries of the Zelmar Michelini Foundation and a video of 197 illustrated stories, a project that shows the lives of people who disappeared in Uruguay, will be shown.
All attendees will be presented with a daisy, a symbol used in various demonstrations and commemorative events to remember the victims of the dictatorship.
