Uruguay shone yesterday not only in Osaka, but also on the pitch. The Uruguayan pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 was transformed into a true sky blue party to celebrate qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
Visitors and friends from all over the world came together to share one of our greatest passions: soccer. Together, we cheered on La Celeste during the live streaming broadcast on the big screen at our stand in the Commons C pavilion for the Uruguay-Peru qualifying match and celebrated euphorically with a resounding 3-0 victory that secures us a place in the next World Cup.
The experience was a unique opportunity to show that Uruguay also stands out as a leading country in soccer. From Osaka, we shared with the world not only the energy of La Celeste and the joy of qualifying, but also other values that characterize us as a country: passion and cultural pride.
We continue to build bridges that connect Uruguay with Japan and the world, showcasing our country and consolidating our international presence. Go Uruguay, on to the 2026 World Cup!
