The Más Comercio program, promoted by Uruguay XXI, launches a new edition with a nationwide tour starting in Lavalleja and visiting locations across the country throughout 2026, with the aim of strengthening the export capabilities of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises.

The first workshop will take place on Tuesday, March 24, at the Casa de la Cultura in Minas. This free event aimed at startups and companies interested in taking their first steps into international markets. It will include practical tools for starting to export, information on support programs, and access to personalized mentoring.

Following its kickoff in Lavalleja, the initiative continues in April in Salto and Paysandú, May in Colonia, July in Rivera, and August in Cerro Largo, with additional departments to be announced.

Since its creation in 2022, Más Comercio has reached all 19 departments twice, delivering 40 workshops, trained over 1,000 participants, and providing around 130 mentoring sessions, with satisfaction rates above 90%. Its latest edition concluded in Montevideo in 2025, it reinforced its role in advancing SME internationalization of MSMEs nationwide.

The program’s leader, Claudia Peisino, highlighted the initiative’s accessible, practical approach and its impact on business development. “When a company exports, it doesn't just grow, its entire community grows with it. That impact is real, and we see it in every department. Más Comercio helps make those first steps possible,” she said.

She also underscored the program’s commitment to expanding opportunities for companies nationwide, regardless of location. ‘Today, the world is more connected than ever, and exporting is no longer exclusive to large corporations, but increasingly accessible to SMEs and startups ready to take that step,’ she added.

The workshop forms part of a broader decentralization strategy designed to deliver knowledge, tools, and support to goods and services companies with export potential across the country.

With this new edition, Más Comércio reaffirms its commitment to continuing its nationwide reach while tailoring its content to regional needs, fostering the sustainable growth of Uruguayan companies through internationalization.
