Less than a year after its launch, Uruguay Technology is establishing itself as a key distinction for positioning Uruguayan technology companies globally. Promoted by Uruguay XXI together with the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI), this sectoral brand is part of the Country Brand architecture, alongside Uruguay Wine, Uruguay Wools, Uruguay Audiovisual, and Uruguay Meats, among others.
Between September 2024 and June 2025, the seal was adopted by 57 companies and four events in the sector, reflecting sustained growth and the ecosystem’s interest in aligning itself with a national strategy for international projection.
A growing community of technology companies and events
In the first half of 2025, 16 new companies—12 of them CUTI members—and three international events joined the initiative, including the IntegraTech congress, the International Conference on Process Mining (ICPM 2025), and TestingUY. These figures are in addition to the 41 companies and one event already using the brand at the end of 2024.
The seal is available to CUTI members and non-member companies that wish to join the Uruguay Technology community. Through the website uruguaytechnology.uy, organizations can complete a form and accept the terms of use to use the brand on their channels, products, and communications.

In total, more than 20,000 people work in the sector, with a significant proportion of young people between the ages of 25 and 34 (42% of the total), and a strong presence of companies with annual sales exceeding US$1 million, which account for 92% of turnover.
