Uruguay at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival

Uruguay will participate with a country stand at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival and its Marche du Film market from May 12-23.

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most important events for the film industry. It is celebrated every year during the second half of May on the Boulevard de la Croisette (France), and in 2020 it will hold its 73rd edition.

This festival is held with the double objective of promoting quality works at an international level and at the same time encouraging the development of film projects. Both the Festival and the Marketplace are a meeting point for distributors, producers, sales agents, buyers and festival programmers from all over the world. One of the outstandigs points of the event is to promote the exchange between emerging artists and producers with those of greater trajectory.

The aim of Uruguay Audiovisual's participation is to promote the country as a film destination, its services and locations as well as the facilities it offers for the sector. The event is also an unbeatable opportunity to showcase the latest in national film production.
