Uruguay XXI Hosts Training to Boost Internationalization of Fashion Brands in the U.S.

Uruguay XXI organised a training course for Uruguayan fashion brands interested in expanding into the U.S. market. Brandissimo, a Los Angeles-based consultancy specializing in product and brand development, logistics, and marketing, ran the activity.

The company’s executive director, Santiago Pereira, and its economist specializing in consumer behavior and current director of operations, María Eugenia Pereira, led the workshop and provided concrete strategies to enable Uruguayan brands to compete in the highly dynamic and competitive U.S. market.

During the training, the speakers addressed the pillars of digital infrastructure, optimization of sales platforms, payment methods, efficient logistics, and emerging trends, such as sustainability and product customization.

In addition, they analyzed various digital platform options, from own stores to wholesale and retail channels. They delved into the expectations of the U.S. consumer and the advantages and challenges posed by the available storage and distribution alternatives.

The activity also included a practical exercise during which they examined some of the brandswebsites present in the training to identify successes and opportunities for improvement, taking into account the preferences and behaviors of U.S. buyers.

This initiative is part of the strategic and sustained support that Uruguay XXI provides to Uruguayan fashion on its path to internationalization. The agency plays a key role as an advisor and coordinator, offering training aligned with the sector’s needs, facilitating participation in international fairs, and acting as a link between Uruguayan brands and relevant actors in the global fashion circuit.
