                                                                            Share:

With a new playlist that amplifies the presence of Uruguayan music around the world, Uruguay XXI reaffirms its commitment to the internationalization of the creative industries.
The playlist — comprising 50 songs nominated in the Singles category of the prestigious 2025 Graffiti Awards — spans genres such as pop, rock, tropical, urban, and electronic, and is now available on Spotify. Its reach will be expanded through a digital campaign targeting audiences in Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to elevate Uruguay’s creative talent on the global stage.
The selection brings together both established and emerging artists, showcasing the strength and vitality of Uruguay’s contemporary music scene. Among the renowned names are Fernando Cabrera, Éte & Los Problems, Trotsky Vengarán, Florencia Núñez, Eli Almic, and Franny Glass, musicians who have defined Uruguay’s sound across generations. Alongside them, a new wave of creators is driving the scene’s evolution with fresh ideas and diverse styles, including Belén Cuturi, Clipper, Lucas Cary, Luana, Pitu, KIRA1312, and Dostrescinco, among others.
This blend of seasoned voices and emerging talent makes the playlist a vibrant portrait of Uruguay’s musical present and a powerful tool to showcase its artistry to international audiences through Spotify.
Since its creation in 2003, the Graffiti Awards have become one of the most representative events in Uruguayan music, bringing together artists, producers, and audiences in an annual celebration of local creativity.“With this playlist, we aim to generate new export opportunities for Uruguay’s music sector, known for the authenticity of its expression, the quality of its production, and the creative force of its performers,” said Omaira Rodríguez, Creative Industries Specialist at Uruguay XXI.
