Faroppa Study is a forestry services and consulting company founded in 1984 in response to the growing demand generated by the expansion of forestry activity in Uruguay. It has a technical team headed by Ing. Faroppa, advised on a permanent basis by highly qualified experts in digital cartography, land surveying, forest software and related areas such as environmental, legal and social ones. He has carried out work of ordering for more than 200,000 hectares, and has carried out projects in whose scope include silvicultural management plans, inventories and appraisals, economic diagnostics, industrial projects and consultancies for the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, OAS, IICA and Uruguayan Government.

Since 1984 the Faroppa Study has managed multiple forest projects of different sizes for foreign, regional and extra-regional investors.

The most important consultancy work of the Faroppa Study was the Strategic Advice to Botnia (Finnish capitals) for the realization of the Orion Project (current UPM Plant), when Mr. Faroppa was the Project's Senior Adviser (2002-2008).

More recently the Faroppa Study began to advise the project Frutifor Lumber Co. (2014-), industrial pine sawmill (Chilean capitals).

International Presence

Currently the Faroppa Study, advises foreign investment companies outside Uruguay, to Uruguayan companies in foreign investments, has activity in the export of Uruguayan products abroad, as well as Mercosur products to third countries.
