Uruguay is once again positioning itself as a reliable supplier of food and beverages at APAS Show 2026, the largest trade fair in the sector in Latin America, taking place May 18–21 in São Paulo, Brazil. The delegation is organized by Uruguay XXI and the Uruguayan Chamber of Industries (CIU), together with Uruguayan export companies showcasing their products at a national pavilion.
Uruguay’s presence aims to strengthen commercial ties with international buyers, expand markets, and generate new business and investment opportunities for the country. The trade show, considered one of the region’s leading business platforms for the food industry, brings together thousands of companies, distributors, and retail representatives from various countries.
The Uruguayan delegation is composed of companies offering a diverse range of high-value-added products, reflecting the country’s export capacity and the quality of its domestic production. Among the products on display are cheeses, wines, rice, frozen foods, stuffed pasta, dulce de leche, jams, and other processed foods.

Among the participating companies are Avanti, which specializes in stuffed pasta; Farming, a producer of premium cheeses and healthy, low-sodium, and lactose-free options; Frocom, dedicated to rice production; Los Nietitos, known for its dairy and fruit-based products such as dulce de leche and jams; Indunet, a manufacturer of frozen foods under the Sabor y Salsa brand; and the wineries Giménez Méndez, Toscanini, and Vinícola Aurora Uruguay, which showcase part of the country’s growing wine offerings.
Participation in APAS also allows for showcasing the distinctive attributes of the Uruguayan food sector, based on quality, traceability, and sustainable production. Uruguay exports food to more than 150 markets and produces food for over 30 million people. The agro-industrial sector accounts for 80% of the country’s exported goods, and food products make up 57% of total exports.
The country has built a solid international reputation thanks to its strict health controls, the incorporation of technology into production processes, and traceability systems covering sectors such as meat, wine, and citrus fruits. Additionally, Uruguay stands out for its institutional stability, its renewable energy mix, and its sustainability-oriented policies.
Through this participation, Uruguay seeks to consolidate its position as a strategic partner for the supply of quality food in the region and to strengthen the presence of its companies in one of the most important markets for Uruguayan exports.
